Public Television and the Right to Information

This book was the result of the author’s concern about the Federal Government’s actions to create a public television station in 2007/2008, in a culturally private entertainment industry scenario. Even at that time, the outlook for TV Brasil’s survival on the national spectrum was bleak. Today, it is an excellent opportunity to present this text, written when TV Brasil was in its infancy, to the public and thus enrich the current debate about the public television broadcaster, which still struggles to differentiate itself from the government and identify more with the public, to distinguish itself from the private sector and obtain resources for its functional independence.
