Regulation in the Rating Market

An analysis of the demand for regulation of credit rating agencies in the global financial market. As the market has evolved, rating agencies have gained credibility in examining and classifying the credit risk of each product, investment or financial debt. Ratings have become the necessary endorsement for investments in many markets. In addition to evaluating the entire rating market and the need for greater regulation, this work responds to issues that demand imperative solutions from Brazilian law and the international community to override the subjective will of rating agencies that can be harmful to social and state interests.
