　　《Model English》是一套三冊的系列教材，每冊包含20個單元，以「語言模型」為核心理念，從單字、句型到對話，循序漸進強化語言運用能力。各單元圍繞日常生活的實用主題，並透過聽說練習，幫助學生從理解階段逐步進入實際表達，達成紮實的學習成果。

　　Model English is a three-level series that drives fluency and confidence building through a carefully planned study of language models at the word, sentence, and conversation levels. Units center on common discussion topics, with listening and speaking exercises that move from receptive to productive skill building. Model English puts the tools of the language into students’ hands, leading to lively classrooms and solid results.

　　Relevant Topics
　　Each book includes 20 four-page units. Units cover topics of daily conversation such as Friends, Movies, Health, Traveling, Culture, and many more.  

　　Leveled Content
　　Vocabulary and grammar levels, as well as sentence lengths, are carefully controlled throughout each book. From Book 1 (Introductory) to Book 2 (High-Beginning) to Book 3 (Intermediate), the language level becomes incrementally higher.

　　Balanced Exercises
　　A careful balance is maintained between receptive and productive exercises. Students move from studying modeled content to doing a range of both structured exercises and more open-ended activities.

　　Audio Files
　　Downloadable audio files include the recordings of every unit’s target vocabulary items, listening exercises, and sample conversation models.

作者簡介

白安竹 (Andrew E. Bennett)

　　擁有美國哈佛大學教育碩士及加州大學聖塔克魯斯分校學士學位，通曉七國語言，曾遊歷五十餘國。

　　1993年至今，一直致力於英語教學，他所著作的英語學習書籍已經超過50本，擅長撰寫英語教科書、自學教材、考試用書等各類英語學習書。除了寫作與教學，他也定期參加ESL會議。
