Novela mosaico escrita hace treinta años y revisitada por el autor en su última obra, Mac y su contratiempo, e sta historia sobre las voces que un narrador toma a lo largo de toda su vida nos habla de la única casa que es para siempre: la ficción.

Una casa para siempre empieza con un crimen pasional -nocturno y resentido- perpetrado por un famoso ventrílocuo retirado. Pero esta no es la historia del asesinato, ni de la huida del culpable. Esta es la historia acerca de las voces que el narrador, el mismo ventrílocuo, ha tomado a lo largo de toda su vida y de cómo su propia voz ha quedado diluida a la sombra de todos aquellos relatos que alberga en su memoria; una historia que nos enseña cómo la única casa para siempre es la ficción.

This mosaic-like novel written thirty years ago and revisited by the author in his latest work, Mac and His Setback, is the story about the voices that a narrator has had throughout his life. In it, he narrates about the only home that is forever: fiction.
 
A Home Forever begins with a crime of passion –at dawn and resentful- committed by a famous retired ventriloquist. But this does not retell the story of that murder, nor of the flight of its perpetrator. This is the story about the voices that the narrator, the ventriloquist, has had throughout his life and how his own voice has been diluted in the shadow of all those other stories he harbors in his memory; a story that teaches us that the only forever home is fiction.
