A new museum in the heart of Rotterdam dedicated to stories of human migration throughout history
Opening in May 2025, Fenix is Rotterdam’s new art museum dedicated to migration. Housed in a warehouse built in 1923 along the quays of the River Maas--where millions once departed to begin new lives overseas--it hosts the Tornado, a radical new design by Ma Yansong of Beijing-based MAD.
