Eighteen contributions written by women directly involved in war at a professional level as well as those who were caught in the center of it focusing on the needs and legal rights of women in war, many of which are completely ignored. The articles include the experiences of a ＂comfort woman,＂ a forensic anthropologist working in Ethiopia, an Australian soldier in Iraq, a business leader committed to peacemaking in Sri Lanka, and a peace negotiator in Guatemala. Articles about law and practice include topics such as gender-based violence, journalism, and international humanitarian law.
