Ottmar Ette (1956) is Professor of Romance Literature at the University of Potsdam, Honorary Member of the Modern Language Association (MLA), and a Full Member of the Science and Humanities Class of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences. He has published monographs, editions, translations and many articles on TransArea Studies, A. v. Humboldt, Roland Barthes, José Martí, Literature and Life Sciences. Recent publications include Transarea (2016), Writing-between-Worlds (2016).
