Storyline

The story follows Michael, a young adult battling his inner demons and succumbing to addiction as an escape. On the edge of giving up, he unexpectedly finds hope in Juliana, whose connection offers him a chance at redemption. Despite his efforts to push her away, she remains steadfast, accepting him as he is. Motivated by his love for her, Michael begins fighting his demons and addiction, determined to make the dream he saw in her eyes a reality.

However, when his deepest fears come to life, he’s left grappling with the devastating consequences of his actions. In the aftermath, Michael embarks on a journey of self-discovery, confronting both the light and dark aspects of his soul.

My book isn’t set in a futuristic world or a fantasy land where everything is magical. My story is grounded in reality, where a local bar with an overpriced Guinness becomes a place of deep sentiment with characters who are as real as you and me.

Everyone has experienced some form of loss. Whether it’s love, identity, or purpose. This book speaks to that universal struggle of grief, making it relatable to anyone searching for meaning after a loss.

The book doesn’t shy away from the darker aspects of healing: addiction, depression, and self-doubt. It touches on sensitive topics and fully displays the messy, non-linear process of recovery.

They say every artist puts a piece of themselves into their artwork; perhaps I put too many pieces into this work and left none for me.
