Tributes are paid by the author to all his mentors, including E.P.W. da Costa, Dr. V.K.R.V. Rao, and Ludwig Rudel. The author’s family involves many firsts such as the author being the first International Trade Specialist and taking care of overseas business too. This memoir is one of the many firsts. The second part of the memoir deals with the challenges that got converted into opportunities and substantial business as well. The third part records narratives of friends and relatives of the author to demonstrate what they have gained and lost during the post-independence period. Here, the author adds the domesticity of his parents along with the brief on the memoirs. The author does not believe in the adage "Rolling stone gathers no moss" and has changed it to "Rolling stone gathers roses of different hues" for quality hard work.
