This book "अमृतकाल के आत्मविश्वासी किसान" is just like a water channel which draws
water from a bigger canal and takes it to the water-scared fields in order to make them greener and more productive. Similarly, the author of this book has tried to squeeze knowledge from different sources and expressed it in the workable Hindi language to empower farmers, extension functionaries, and other stakeholders. Time and again, senior agricultural scientists and leading experts have thoroughly studied the size and impact of emerging challenges in agriculture and made recommendations to mitigate global warming/climate change, energy management, water conservation, market issues in the WTO era, retaining youth in agriculture, reforms in agriculture, etc. Regrettably, the stakeholders of agriculture particularly farmers in general are almost not aware of these reports and recommendations. Without making farmers, particularly young farmers, aware of the issues and recommendations, the new generation of agriculture may not take off to compete at the global level. The awareness of experts’ views would bridge the gap between farmer knowledge and expert recommendations. This would ultimately lead farmers particularly small and marginal farmers to make them more confident in solving the problems. This publication would also empower agricultural students with knowledge and help extension functionaries in promoting awareness amongst stakeholders.
