About the Book
Sparkles On The Oval Ground the first book of the author, showcases a substantial range of incidents, statistical landmarks and coincidences, exciting finishes, and sweet-sour anecdotes that this great game of cricket has been revealing for the last one and a half centuries. Various events and achievements, or the lack thereof, have been viewed from uncharted angles with the aid of available information to give them a unique look. Reference to detailed progressive records of many important present-day world records is a unique feature of this creation. Progressive records narrate how, in a particular category, the world record has evolved to reach the present one since the beginning. These are not mere lifeless figures, but significant statistical history.
