William’s Anatomy, Poetry for Medical Students is the "spin-off" of Erik’s studies in anatomy and physiology during the grim days of Covid-19. What started as a few tutorials on genetics and cell biology turned into a an almost fully- fledged study of medicine. Erik, holding a PhD in Literary Theory (University Utrecht-the Netherlands) was suffering from "phantom pain" and after each tutorial started scribbling down some phrases which later turned into poetry. When his tutor, William Allison, finished as an MD (Bristol University), Erik wrapped the poems up as a farewell present. However, the farewell was postponed perennially and the manuscript started living its own life. Here it is... William’s Anatomy bringing poetry to students of medicine all around the world.
