This is a story of sex, love, need and personal discovery at a sports centre during the pressure cooker reality of Covid times. The plot focuses on three women as they confront their own sexuality and childhood traumas.
Camaraderie, joy and the fun of movement in water help the women to escape from their realities, only to thrust them towards other more sinister realisations. Their lives interweave to create a toxic fantasy with resonances from their traumatic childhoods and implications for their unpredictable futures. They become enmeshed within each other as narcissism and mental disorders impregnate their worlds.
Music, physical activity and swimming act as antidotes to anxiety and stress. As their relationships develop and a murder ensues, the only gripping question to be answered becomes, ’who did what to whom and why?’
