Betsy Ling Ling Ng is an educational psychologist who has been actively involved in educational research since 2009. To date, she has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles and conference papers. Her areas of expertise include motivation and lifelong learning. She also has a strong research interest in positive psychology and gerontology. She is currently involved in several projects as a principal investigator and co-investigator at the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Gloria obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore. She is currently working at the Centre for Research and Development in Learning, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her research interest lies in understanding the neural mechanisms underlying learning and memory, as well as the mediating roles of emotion and motivation. As an avid traveller, she is keen in understanding the interplay of these factors in a broader context of travelling to encourage self-discovery, development and growth. She has recently published two journal articles on travel motivation. She was also involved with an electroencephalogram (EEG) neuroimaging project and helped to produce a research poster for an international conference.
