Contemplate the shapes of elk, listen to the chatter of seals, ＂a gaggle of aunties at the market, / gossiping for fish and belly rubs＂ and sit on Limantour Beach as sunlight glitters off the Pacific coast. As the title poem suggests, ＂Maybe everything relents; ideas of left and right / meet in the erosion of distance＂.
