Tadokoro Masayuki is specially appointed Professor of international relations at the International University of Japan, and Professor emeritus of Keiō University in Tokyo. Born in Osaka in 1956, he received his doctorate in law from Kyoto University. He was Professor at the National Defense Academy and Keiō University before assuming his current post in 2022. He also attended the London School of Economics. In 1988-1989, he stayed in Washington D.C. as Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies, and in 1991 he taught for a semester as Fulbright Scholar in Residence at the University of Pittsburgh. His primary field of expertise is international political economy, but he works also on Japanese foreign and security policy.
