ADIBAH AMIN is not, as one Sri Delima reader imagined, “fat and bouncy, with a fruity laugh.” She does love Malaysia’s multicultural cuisines, but also enjoys Eastern-style exercise. Friends will vouch, too, that she laughs easily but not fruitily. Her mornings are mostly spent tutoring youngsters, her evenings editing, translating or “scribbling.” Her other joys are books, music, singing, crosswords with a kindred spirit, travel and holidays with faraway loved ones.
