濕地生態系生物多樣性監測系統標準作業程序

整合濕地生物多樣性與生態資料，建立濕地生態資料庫，讓資料標準化及一致性，增進長期累積資料，以及時間地點間相互比較的效能。監測結果將有助於現況了解，以及經營管理與棲地復育成效的評估，以追蹤掌握國內濕地生態系統現況與變化趨勢，同時可提供規劃及執行計畫時檢查及評估之參考，及委託單位施政之管考與經營管理依據。
Coastal wetlands, including mangroves, salt marshes, and mud/sand flats, are located in the interface of ocean and land. They are not only the biodiversity hotspots, but also provide invaluable ecological service. However, they are among the most threaten ecosystems. Therefore, it is imperative to assess the current status of coastal wetlands and to determine the effectiveness of management and restoration by using ecological monitoring for their wise use and conservation. Nevertheless, a biodiversity monitoring system is still lacking. We propose to develop the standard operating procedure (SOP) of biodiversity monitoring system applicable in the tropical/subtropical coastal wetlands in Taiwan. In the first year, we will develop the SOP of biodiversity monitoring system in coastal wetlands based on relevant case studies conducted in similar regions. In the second year, we will invite scientists, experts, and managers to inspect the SOP. In addition, we will validate the SOP by applying it in the appointed important Taiwan wetlands.
