《人靠什麼活下去》

　　貧窮的老鞋匠在深秋時出門買新冬裘，但他錢不夠買不了冬裘。回家途中他遇到一位全身赤裸的年輕人，因怕他會凍死，便帶他回家收留他。年輕人跟著老鞋匠學做鞋，因為他學的很快，手很巧，於是很多人來找他作鞋，老鞋匠夫婦也就不愁沒錢。這名年輕人原來是天使米迦勒，因為違背上帝的旨意而受到懲罰，被派到人間，上帝要他學習三個真理，才能重返天堂。托爾斯泰藉由老鞋匠與米迦勒的故事，啟示著我們人是靠著什麼活下去的。

《傻子伊凡》

　　俄羅斯一位農夫有三個兒子，老大與老二雖事業成功，卻還是回家跟父親要家產，只有老三伊凡不爭不取，這件事情被魔鬼知道了，魔鬼想讓伊凡一家人貪求黃金，讓伊凡因此散盡家業，於是使計讓兩個哥哥變得更加貪婪，而伊凡會因此而上當嗎？

作者簡介

托爾斯泰（1828－1910）

　　俄國最偉大的小說家、哲學家。著有《戰爭與和平》（War and Peace）、《安娜卡列尼那》（Anna Karenina）和《復活》（Resurrection）這幾部被視作經典的長篇小說，被認為是世界最偉大的作家之一。
