Joyce: What other items can you supply?
喬伊斯:請問你們還可以提供那些產品?
Mr. Theroux:Well, other than tiger prawns, we also process a lot of squids. Our squid rings are very popular in the US. We have a factory that we work with. I know there is a big market for squid tentacles in Asia, would it be something you are looking for?
瑟魯先生:嗯,除了草蝦之外,我們還有處理很多魷魚,我們的魷魚圈在美國市場很受歡迎,我們有專門的加工廠跟我們配合。我知道魷魚鬚在亞洲市場用量很多,你們會有興趣嗎?
Joyce: Hmmm.. I am not sure at this stage, our clients have never asked for squid tentacles, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have a market for it. I could do a little survey among our customers and see if they are interested. Can you give me more information please?
喬伊斯:這個嘛,現階段我不太確定,我們的客戶沒有跟我們提過他們有這方面的需求,但不代表我們沒有市場。我可以做些調查,問一下我們的客戶們,看他們有沒有意願,你可以跟我介紹一下大概的包裝方式嗎?
Mr. Theroux: They are cleaned and frozen in vacuum sealed bags. Each bag is two kilos.
瑟魯先生:都清理過而且真空包裝的冷凍魷魚鬚,每包兩公斤裝。
Unit 21 海運航班接不上,無法準時交貨
前情提要
Linda 的公司有商品賣給Jimmy的公司,Linda的船公司剛剛通知他航班有更改,他趕緊先跟Kelly打聲招呼。
Linda: Hi Jimmy, I just heard from the forwarder, the shipment was scheduled to arrive in Kaohsiung port on 25th Mar, but there is a delay Singapore. Looks like the shipping vessel would hang around Singapore for extra 3-4 days.
琳達: 凱莉你好,我聽我的船運公司說貨輪本來是預計三月二十五日抵達高雄港,可是在新加坡有些問題耽誤了,看來可能在新加坡會多耽誤三到四天。
Kelly: Right! Thanks for letting me know. I think extra 3 or 4 days would not cause any problem, but if it is longer than a week, then we might be in trouble for missing the deadline.
凱莉:這樣啊!謝謝你通知我,如果只是三、四天那倒是還好,只要不要超過一個星期,因為我們可能會因延誤交期而有麻煩。
Linda: There is nothing we can do other than wait. I will keep an eye on this case, and I will keep you posted when I know more.
琳達:目前我們只能等,我會特別注意這個案子,有消息我會隨時跟你聯絡。
王牌助理的小祕訣
收到貨物出狀況的時候,無論是外觀上的損壞或是內部的功能有問題,可以從幾個方面下手。如果包裝上有明顯的凹陷或破損,那就需要與快遞公司協商,提供證據來爭取賠償。如果無法舉證是快遞公司運送方式的問題,那就要向賣方爭取。如果是可以修理再出售的東西,賣方應該會無償更換,但是買方需要寄回去換貨。換貨時可以考慮用便宜的運送方式寄回去,畢竟只是退回去,沒有急迫性。
Unit 25 商品品質不良,要求提供折扣
前情提要
Janice 的公司向Mr. Garcia 的公司進口一批高級魚排,可是到貨發現品質很差,所以Janice 向Mr. Garcia 提出退款折扣的要求。

Dear Mr. Garcia,
Thanks for the delivery of our order PO. Number 228430 dated 3rd July 2017. The cargo has arrived and been unloaded a couple of days ago.
While we were unloading, we recorded 200 boxes of grade A salmon fillet, 35 boxes of cleaned squid tubes, and 46 boxes of ribbon fish which is the same as our order.
However, we are in doubt about the quality of the grade A salmon fillet. We thawed two boxes to inspect the quality. The size is very small and the freshness is not at its best. In addition, the color is more on the pale side, which is not red. We do not think this should be classified as grade A product. We will not be able to resale these salmon filets as premium product. Therefore, we are asking a 20% discount on the unit price for the salmon fillet to cover our loss. Please find the photos attached for your reference.

親愛的賈西亞先生,
我們前幾天已經收到我們2017年7月3號所下的228430號訂單的貨了,貨櫃也已經拆卸完成。
我們拆卸點貨的過程中,我們收了 200箱的A級鮭魚排,35箱的魷魚筒,還有45箱的白帶魚,數量與我們訂購的相符合。
可是我們對A級鮭魚排的品質很有疑慮,我們退冰了兩箱魚排來檢查品質,實際上的魚排小片,鮮度也不好,而且顏色也偏白,並不紅潤,我們覺得這個不是A級鮭魚排該有的品質。我們沒有辦法用高級貨的價格賣給我們的客戶。
因此,我們要求貴公司提供魚排單價減少20%的折扣給我們來補償我們的損失,附上照片供您參考。

對於生鮮食品的採購,爭議性會比較大,協商賠償的情況也容易發生,尤其是沒有可以信任的人員可以去做採購前檢測的情況下,只能相信出口商的片面之詞,還有照片之類的文件來支持出口商的講法。有的公司會聘僱檢測人員到當地去驗貨,但不是每間公司都有這種預算。所以跟有誠信的廠商購買是很重要的,有誠信的廠商也會比較願意談賠償的事宜。
