Absalom, the younger son of a wealthy Jewish merchant becomes convinced that he is better in business than his older brother, Aaron, and sets out to prove it. His journey takes him to Tyre, where he is seduced by prostitutes, robbed by gamblers, and endures famine while working on a pig famine.
Eventually, unable to bear the hardship, the long-lost son sets aside his pride and confronts his greatest fear of returning home to seek his father’s forgiveness. A play set in ancient Israel, Ethiopia, Sheba, and Tyre.
