In the First Age, Kâithwein, a noble wizard turned lich, descended upon the ＂free peoples of Elthanos＂ a plague. According to the Church, the Second Age, featured a harbinger of decay named Ravenspire, servant of Kâithwein. Now in 3729 of the Fourth Age, Mercury Aerathéndil, advisor of the High King, has sought to examine history and its repetition. His investigation sets in motion events that unfold horrors and damnation about Elthanos for a third time.
