The Conflict The Vane Board operates under the guise of ＂The Protocol,＂ a series of extreme neural and biological experiments. Marcus is forced to act as both a guardian and a facilitator for the Board, keeping Clara in a state of controlled captivity while she is subjected to invasive procedures.
