Hollow Dreams - Book 1 (Brief-est Summary I Could Make)
Hollow Dreams is about a group of teenagers in the town of Windmere who start being haunted by a terrifying entity called the Hollow Father. One by one, people begin to disappear or die in strange, painful ways, and the group slowly realizes that the Hollow Father feeds on fear, guilt, and emotional pain. As they try to survive, the characters deal with grief, trauma, and guilt-especially after losing their friends Ozzie, Kenji, and Michael. Kenji becomes deeply depressed after Ozzie’s death, and the group begins to fall apart emotionally. The Hollow Father turns them against each other, making them doubt who they can trust. Eventually, they discover that the Hollow Father was once human: a boy named Emrys Marcelino, whose brother Gabriel caused him to become what he is. When the Hollow Father is finally defeated, Emrys returns in a human form, while Gabriel dies for good. At the end of the book, the group is exhausted and broken but alive. After everything they’ve been through, they all fall asleep together, leaving the ending calm, quiet, and a little unsettling-hinting that the story isn’t really over yet.
