Six Feet Somewhere

Seventeen-year-old Vera has mastered the art of self-reliance. With one parent dead and the other in recovery, she knows a college scholarship is the only way out of her small town. But when she comes face-to-face with the charismatic new kid, Marty, her best-laid plans begin to unravel.

Marty seemingly has it all. Since he showed up, he’s risen through the ranks of popularity with no effort whatsoever, and Vera’s dislike is instant. Or at least, that’s what she tells herself. But Marty’s charm hides a startling truth: he isn’t alive at all. Marty died a month ago, and now he’s sentenced to haunt the halls of a new high school forever.

Both stuck in the same small town and searching for a way out, Vera and Marty have more in common than they realize. But falling in love was never on Vera’s agenda-especially with someone who’s already dead. And while Marty adjusts to his life lost, Vera must decide how she wants to live hers.
