圖書名稱:The Grumblinch: An Educational Fairy Tale for Emotional Regulation and Self-Awareness in Children (a Tool for Parents and Educators)

內容簡介

The Grumblinch is part of Fiabe per Crescere(R) - Emotional Growth Tales, an educational series created to support the development of emotional skills and self-regulation in children ages 3 to 8.
Through simple, evocative language and rich symbolic imagery, this story helps children recognize and transform intense emotions such as anger, frustration, and impulsivity into calm, determination, and an emerging sense of self-awareness.

The story can be offered in different ways:
- in its full hypnagogic transcription, as guided reading to support social-emotional learning and professional practice in educational settings;
- in the shorter, playful version (highlighted in bold), as a shared listening moment at home or in the classroom;
- as a model for teacher and parent training, to introduce an intentional, regulated style of reading.

The structure of the text encourages an experiential and relational approach: it captures attention, stimulates imagination, and supports emotional self-regulation.
When the adult reads with true presence - using voice, rhythm, silence, posture, and proximity - the story becomes a powerful co-regulation tool that strengthens the educational relationship and helps the child feel seen and safe.

Supported by gentle illustrations and accompanied by an audio version, The Grumblinch helps children understand and manage the intensity of their emotions in a natural, reassuring, and developmentally respectful way.

This story can also be used as professional material for educators, teachers, and early childhood specialists within the context of training and educational innovation.

Fiabe per Crescere(R) - Emotional Growth Tales, created by Barbara Bettetini, Specialist in Clinical Pedagogy(R) and Functional Psychomotricity, is a series designed to sustain children’s developmental processes and to nurture serenity, awareness, and trust.
It offers a way of storytelling that is both emotionally warm and pedagogically intentional - something that can be used at home, in school, and in professional educational practice to gently support and accelerate healthy growth.
