I want this book to feel like I’m sitting next to another parent, just talking honestly.
Not the glossy Dubai you see on Instagram. Not the "everything is amazing" version. And definitely not relocation propaganda. Just the real, practical information a solo parent actually needs before spending thousands of pounds and uprooting their life.I wrote this book because, for over a year, I found myself doing the same thing many parents do when they’re considering a move like this: researching late at night, scrolling through videos, joining forums, saving posts, and trying to piece together real answers from fragments of other people’s experiences. What I kept noticing was that most of the content out there wasn’t made for people like me. It was made for single professionals, influencers, or couples with flexible incomes and no dependents.
Very little spoke directly to solo parents.
No one was really talking about the emotional weight of relocating with children, the practical realities of schooling, childcare, housing choices, budgeting, paperwork, or the quiet fear that comes with making such a big decision on your own. And when these things were mentioned, they were often brushed over, over-simplified, or framed in a way that didn’t reflect real family life.
This book isn’t about convincing you to move to Dubai. It’s about giving you the information I wish I’d had at the start-clearly, calmly, and without pressure-so you can decide for yourself whether this move makes sense for you and your children. Some people will read this and decide Dubai isn’t right for them. Others will feel more confident taking the next step. Both outcomes matter equally.
