Way back when, a London copper and his partner were killed after a daring raid on a jeweller’s. The cause of their deaths was never fully solved; instead, for some reason, one of them was rumoured to be a bent copper, and the other was getting too close to the truth.
Years later, a man is killed, and a chilling clue is left behind: a blood-stained indigo-coloured rose.
This crime is put down as a one-off until a further murder happens.
The second murder victim is a young woman who just happened to be the friend of the daughter of one of the coppers who was killed all those years ago.
Are the recent deaths connected? Can the police stop the killer before they strike again?
Only time and the quick actions of our soon-to-be heroine can answer that.
But what we can be sure of is that she will never be the same again.
