Mara Ellion, a scientist who uncovers hidden truths about the planet’s true frozen state beneath an artificial warmth maintained by these furnaces, is on a quest to restore a lost technology called the Thermal Lattice that could harmonize the Earth’s magnetic field to naturally warm the planet.
