God was Incarnate and Became Man

On the Feast of Nativity, the Church celebrates the birth of Christ, a mystery that surpasses the human mind: God was incarnate and became Man. Of this incredible event, the prophets foretold hundreds of years before it happened: the details of the where, how, and why. The Lord is in our midst. He is with us-Immanuel, God with us. In this book, His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef explains the reasons for the incarnation and the significance of being born in Bethlehem, and discusses some of the prophecies and liturgical symbols of the incarnation. When we learn about this wondrous mystery, feelings of love, peace, joy, and gratitude overwhelm our hearts, and we cannot help but sing with the angels, saying, ＂Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!＂H.E. Metropolitan Youssef was ordained Bishop in 1992 and elevated to Metropolitan in 2022 for the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States. His Eminence has completed a Ph.D. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX.
