About the AuthorJamel Reed was born in Jefferson, South Carolina, and nurtured in the church from an early age. Recognizing his calling to preach at just six years old, he quickly grew into roles of youth leadership and ministry throughout his adolescence. These formative experiences profoundly shaped his path and laid the foundation for the impactful work he would later pursue. Though he had always had a strong passion for writing, he never imagined he would one day become an author.
Jamel is an ordained Apostle and the establishmentarian of the International Temple of Deliverance Ministries Apostolic. This organization encompasses several vibrant ministries, including Ruach City of Refuge (Atlanta), Solomon’s Porch City of Miracles (South Carolina), and Abyssinia Temple City of Favor (Washington, D.C.). His ministry extends nationally and internationally, with engagements across the United States, in Nigeria, and in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
A devoted educator, Jamel has served for more than 15 years in education, holding various positions as a Special Education Teacher across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland at both the primary and secondary levels. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Florence-Darlington Technical College; a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Coker University; a Master of Education in Special Education from Francis Marion University; and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. He also holds an Honorary Doctorate in Ministry from Webb Ministries and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Special Education from National University.
Jamel currently serves as a 4th-grade Science, Mathematics, and Health Teacher in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and is licensed as a K-12 Administrator by the District of Columbia Public Schools. He is also completing Administrator I and II credentialing through the Maryland State Department of Education as he prepares for future leadership roles at the high school level.
