To my close friends and family I’m wild and crazy one-date Dane. To the world, I’m Dane Campbell, the bachelor with the genius level IQ whose name sits somewhere on the Top 100 Wealthiest People in the World list. Me? I’d like to think of myself as fluid, in both my lifestyle and sexuality.
Which is why I spend my time backpacking through different countries exploring the world. The best part: meeting strangers, traveling together for a few days, then going our separate ways. This affords me the minimalist lifestyle I desire with the anonymity I need.
But lately, something in me has shifted. So, when I’m offered a position as a Professor at Polytech University, my boredom of traveling and sudden need of stability said yes.
Meeting a new couple in Paris the last week before I head back home shouldn’t be any different.
Except it is, and they are.
They make the loneliness go away, my fake smiles turn real, and I feel something I haven’t felt in a long time.
This is the first time I don’t want to walk away.
