Into Motherhood

If you’re navigating motherhood while also facing your inner demons, this collection of poems and vignettes is for you. Life is complex. Adding a child into it, only makes that more true, especially when combined with mental illness. Motherhood is both beautiful and ugly, life-giving and heartbreaking, joy and pain. These passages explore how my life prior to motherhood shaped me into the role I carry today and how I both lost and found myself in it. I hope they show you that you aren’t alone in the chaos and that there is hope for a better tomorrow. You were made for this path and you won’t always be merely surviving. We may not always come from the best circumstances, but we have the power to change our future and give our children more than what we were given. Remember the strength you hold!
