Considerable attention has been devoted to cognitive styles individual differences in perceiving and processing information since the beginning of the previous century, leading to a wide diversity of cognitive style theories. Cognitive styles recently also gained prominence within the domains of organisational behaviour and management as they are a relevant addition to the personality and ability constructs. This book reports on the development and validation of the Cognitive Style Indicator (CoSI), an interesting new 18-item style instrument for use with professional and managerial groups. Qualitative as well as quantitative evidence gained through three different studies is given to demonstrate the reliability, validity, and valence of this new model.
