Firekeepers is a gentle, richly illustrated picture book that helps children understand and care for their ＂inner fire＂ of anger. Using the simple metaphor of a fire that can warm, protect, or flare too big, the story follows a child as they notice what fuels their fire, such as worry, hurt, tiredness and shame, and discover safe ways to tend it instead of putting it out.

With warm, accessible language, Firekeepers normalises anger as a protective feeling rather than ＂naughtiness＂ or ＂bad behaviour＂. It invites children to notice early body signals, understand why outbursts happen, and discover four practical pathways for calming: water (movement), air (talking), earth (grounding), and rest (creative breaks).
