Mama Walked With God: Walking By Faith

Detrick Redding is a lifelong resident of Rome, Ga along with his wife Toris. They have (4) children: Antarius (Japan), Jamal (Michigan), Jara, and Charity. He and Toris are founders of Rally UP Ministries. Dedicated to providing others with excellent service, time and resources, He was also Assistant General Manager at the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House for 20 years. Active in his city, he completed Leadership Rome program through the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce in May 2011; served as chairman of the South Rome Redevelopment Board for three and a half years, resigning to take the post for Rome City Commissioner; served on the Board of Boy Scouts of America; and served on the Board of Directors for the NorthWest Georgia Housing Authority. After serving two local churches for 12+ years in youth and teen ministry, God began giving Detrick a vision and mission to ＂Build Lives in Order to Build the Kingdom of God＂ through Outreach Ministry and teaching the Word of God. In 2010, the Spirit of God began directing him to Pastor the church to further build the body of Christ and win souls. In 2016, the Lord called he and Toris back into field ministry where they continue to travel preaching and teaching the Word of God. Detrick knows what it means to have to learn and grow in believing God. Having been reared in a home by a strong faith filled mother, dedicated father and born again at the age of ten himself, Detrick learned to trust and BELIEVE God, as he administered the Word like medicine three times daily to himself at age 16 as instructed by his mother. At that time a debilitating virus attacked his spine causing him to not be able to walk or speak clearly. Hospitalized, doctors worked to find out the problem but came up with no answers, neither a cure. Sent home from the hospital with a bag of medicines and prescriptions, his mother told him he was of age and had to make a choice to take the medicine or stand on the word and BELIEVE God for himself. He chose to BELIEVE God. Having ministered the Word of God with all boldness locally and abroad, Detrick is a preacher, teacher and lover of the Word of God. He has a uniquely anointed ability to preach and teach with simplicity and depth causing revelation into and desire to live out the character and ways of God. By the Christ in Him, Detrick builds the hearers of God’s anointed word, imparting the same wisdom, knowledge and power of God to believe and receive healing, deliverance and the abundant life of God.
