Having worked in the crazy field of comics three decades now, I find to my amazement that I am neither rich nor famous-- remotely! In fact, every one of the 20-25 jobs I’ve held in my life, paid better, offered more perks and were generally more healthful endeavors than creating comic books. So, why do it?! I should say I was easily bamboozled and led astray at an early age. But, if there’s a place for honest circumspection, it has to be in your bio. The truth, in a somewhat unvarnished state, is that this is what I do passably well. The potential in combining words and pictures to make stories is always there and the challenge will remain long after i am well able to answer it. At this point, the graphic monkey on my back and me are best buds. But, please don’t think of yourselves as enablers. We’re kindred spirits, you and I, and I am happy to enlist you in the madness.
