什麼是接納？友情有多重要？
這個故事是取材自作者之一約旦皇后拉尼雅．阿卜杜拉的童年往事。她希望藉由自己小時候親身的故事，讓孩子們了解──開放的心胸和樂於分享的心，會讓我們的人生更為美好。
莉莉和薩爾瑪是最要好的朋友。她們興趣相投，兩個人常常一起跳繩、畫畫、盪鞦韆，也總是一塊兒吃午餐。不過，她們午餐吃的東西並不相同──莉莉每天午餐吃的是爸爸用心為她準備的花生醬果醬三明治，薩爾瑪吃的是媽媽仔仔細細為她準備的鷹嘴豆泥口袋餅。

莉莉和薩爾瑪能夠把她們之間的差別擱在一邊，繼續做好朋友嗎？還是三明治和口袋餅的不同會橫亙在她們之間，破壞她們的友誼呢？
