Special Forces of the Second World War. Efficiency Medal (Territorial)

Asher Pirt has compiled a nominal roll of personnel who were awarded the Efficiency Medal (Territorial) and served in the special forces during the Second World War. The medal was awarded to officers and other ranks who had pre war service in the Territorial Army. Recipients served in the Special Operations Executive, Commandos, the Special Air Service, Long Range Desert Group, SAS Phantom, 30 Assault Unit, T Force and the Chindits. Each entry in the nominal roll has some brief biographical information and in some cases information concerning awards for gallant and distinguished service extracted from The National Archives at Kew.
