The Hubble Constant Tension

This book highlights a detailed review of the current Hubble constant measurements, now in disagreement, and its possible solutions, including systematics in the data and new theoretical alternatives.

Eleonora Di Valentino

Eleonora Di Valentino received her PhD in Physics at the University of Rome ’La Sapienza’, Italy. She is currently a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the University of Sheffield, the UK.

＂I have built my reputation in cosmology by comparing a range of cosmological datasets to flag tensions, and by combining these datasets to search for novel physics that might explain the tensions. This work benefits from the role I have played within big collaborations, and my leadership and coordination of the Cosmology Intertwined group of SNOWMASS (200+ people), that produced 4 published Letters of Interests and one published White paper, after many zoom meetings and telecons and an online workshop. I am also the leader of the review of the Hubble tension solutions published in March 2021 in CQG, now counting more than 690 citations.＂

Dillion Brout received his PhD from the Department of Phyisics and Astronomy, the University of Pennsylvania, the USA. He is currently a NASA Einstein Fellow, Harvard Smithsonian CfA, the USA.
