Baby Elias was born with an Interrupted Aortic Arch, which is a rare heart condition that happens when the aorta doesn’t form completely. Baby Elias needed a heart repair and tracheotomy, prompting his extended hospital stay. While in the hospital, he stayed in the NICU, which is a special place for babies to stay so they can grow stronger and stronger. Elias’ family realized that the doctors became great friends as they worked together to care for Baby Elias so that he could have a speedy recovery and be reunited with his family.
