Annie's War tells the story of an Englishwoman held under virtual house arrest in Germany during the First World War. Annie Drummond Dröege had moved from the United Kingdom to Germany when her husband Arthur inherited lands and estates in the Rhineland. But their dream life turned into a nightmare when the Kaiser went to war with Britain.
