The day before yesterday, BriElle Brown would've stepped in, she would've protected her Mom and sisters, just like she always does. But after yesterday's fiasco, nothing is the same anymore, nothing except her Mom's violent boyfriend, Troy, that is.  
 
Troy hurts Bri and her Mother lets him, so Bri does the best she can to stay out the way. But nothing this 16-year-old does is ever enough. And in one tragic night, her whole world is turned upside down.  
 
Just when Bri thinks life can't get any worse, things start to change - it gets really, really weird. And now it's up to her to sort through the crazy. Little by little things start to get better for Bri, but now shes left with one question: Can she risk herself to save a sister who hates her - or is that too heavy a burden to bear?
