Fiona Leard has worked with the Sydney Football Club for a number of seasons conducting weekly yoga classes and guiding players with their warm-up and cool-down stretches. She holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Science, is a Certified yoga teacher, and the author of The Yoga Edge: Techniques to Maximize Your Soccer Game. She began teaching one-to-one yoga sessions with players in the A-League in Australia in 2008, and continues her work with individuals, focusing on body maintenance to reduce the risk of soft tissue injury and enhance performance on the pitch.
