An Alternative: A Cosmic View of Our SelfIf the mystic experience is more than self-delusion or pious chimera if it is as often described an egoless fusion in and as the cosmic Unity of all existents, then that union is objective and accessible to reason both physically and personally; and if that State is universally actual it is a primary organizing agent throughout our natural world. OR is the development of that core dimension as an essential property bonding and defining all actual entities, and this offers to the sensibility of Our Time an alternative more accessible portal to the spiritual experience. After 4 years in the Navy and 4 years of aeronautical engineering, I realized that I was dangerously inauthentic, I was not being me nor on the way to finding me. But who or what I am was unknown; so I dropped out and wandered: an inspector on the Thor and Nike Zeus missile programs, living in Mexico six months, a technician in heart research, an inspector on highway construction, living in Mexico six more months, in a diving crew on ocean oil rigs, abalone diver with my own boat, managed an idyllic property, and retired disabled as a mail carrier. Along the way I married and have a great family. And I continue simplifying to essential concerns.
