Joe Pfeiffer has enjoyed drawing cartoons most of his life. This led Joe to writing and illustrating his first book on the subject of his favorite holiday, Halloween. "Give Them a Real Scare This Halloween," describes how to truly enjoy this frightful holiday in ways your local trick-or-treaters won’t soon forget. Joe has also written and illustrated two other children’s picture books, "Billy’s Unusual Adventure" and "The One-Legged, Bow-Legged Cricket". Joe’s ambitions include additional safaris through the depths of his imagination in search for new children’s tales that can be pressed into the pages of future picture storybooks for young readers to explore. Jack Davis has cast the magic of his pen for well over 60 years. Jack is known for his advertising art, magazine covers, film posters, record album art and numerous comic book stories from EC, Atlas, and others. He was one of the founding cartoonists for Mad and contributed to that for decades. He also appeared in all of the issues of Panic and some of Cracked as well as Trump, Humbug, and Help! Jack’s work has been seen worldwide on record jackets, movie posters, books and magazines, including Time and TV Guide. Davis was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2003. He also received the National Cartoonists Society Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. And he received the National Cartoonists Society’s Advertising Award for 1980 and their Reuben Award for 2000. His creative ability to capture the personality of the character made him the ideal illustrator for this imaginative tale about a boy with a magic pen.
