Detective Johnny Reagan has been dismissed from the police force. He is disgraced in the eyes of his peers. There seems to be no way for him to regain his reputation and self-respect. Then, a series of brutal child killings takes place by a deranged serial killer who seems to have no fear of ever being caught. He leaves his DNA calling card on all his victims. When the evidence points directly at a well respected, former sports hero, Johnny's former boss brings him back into the case hoping his expertise will help find the killer.
