The story is about a sun hat with flappy sides that belongs to a woman named Melody Price. It’s a windy day, and it flies off her head into the trees, where some crows become intrigued. The hat ends up in all kinds of places, including the sea, until eventually it lands back in Melody’s garden. The flappy hat meets all kinds of interesting creatures, including crows, seagulls, a stingray, a little girl who is searching for starfish on the beach, and a kitten. The hat’s final landing place is on a scarecrow’s head.
