When the new child joins Lauren’s little group for story time at the orphanage, the evening takes an unexpected turn. Lauren meets a woman with wings and Emma, the new child, escapes her tragedy for a precious few hours. Nobody dies or inherits a kingdom, but story time leaves them with hearts a little lighter and hopes a little higher.
