Born in 1991 in suburban Kolkata, Chayan is the only son of his parents. At a very young age, his parents sent him to a boarding school. The strict and disciplined environment of his school laid the foundation of his love for the English language, where he developed his interest in reading books.

He loves reading murder mysteries, suspense-thrillers and a whole lot of action; in other words, all books that push his boundaries of imagination. He also likes to read fantasy, mythology and related subjects. He spends his spare time watching documentaries, reading articles and watching movies of his favorite genres. Occasionally, he enjoys brainless comedies too.

Chayan has lived in various cities in India. In his journey so far, Chayan has learned about different cultures and traditions. He likes interacting with people from different walks of life. With a degree in engineering, Chayan has worked with reputed MNCs in Bangalore. He currently lives in Pune with his sister and parents and is pursuing a master’s degree.

A Second Time is Chayan’s first attempt at penning down his imagination in the form of a novel.
